Treatments

A few neurological disorders (e.g. depression) have treatments. Few treatments exist for the four atypical parkinsonian disorders. However, treatment of certain symptoms of many neurological disorders is possible.

Lewy Body Dementia
(LBD)
Generally those with LBD are prescribed Alzheimer’s medications as a first-line treatment for dementia and hallucinations. Click here for more info
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) There is remarkably limited pharmacological treatment for PSP. The most effective treatments are therapies: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Click here for more info

Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) Most effective are therapies: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Click here for more info
