Stanford Health Care Offers Wellness Classes for Those with Neuro Disorders

Man doing yogaStanford Health Care offers free wellness classes that help those with neurological disorders (such as atypical parkinsonism disorders and Parkinson’s disease), their caregivers, and any others in the community. These meditation, fitness, and creative arts classes focus on balance, strength, and relaxation. They also give people a way to connect with others who have similar experiences.

Classes are open to the community, and patients and caregivers of all ability levels are welcome.  You do not have to be a Stanford patient.  Generally, classes are an hour in duration.  A few classes are in-person (on Stanford’s campus in Palo Alto, California) but most are offered virtually.  Pre-registration is required.

There’s a selection of classes specifically for people with Parkinson’s Disease.  Certainly those with atypical parkinsonism disorders (LBD, PSP, CBD, and MSA) are welcome.  These include:
