National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is requesting input from the atypical parkinsonism and Parkinson’s disease communities as part of a Request for Information (RFI). The RFI focuses on Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related neurodegenerative parkinsonisms, including progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, multiple system atrophy, Lewy body dementia, and Parkinson’s disease dementia. The RFI closes on August 22, 2026.
NINDS seeks broad input from individuals with PSP, CBD, MSA, LBD, Parkinson’s disease, and related disorders, families and caregivers, researchers, health care providers, patient advocates and advocacy organizations, scientific or professional organizations, and other interested members of the public.
This RFI will support development of the National Plan to End Parkinson’s and inform the Advisory Council on Parkinson’s Research, Care, and Services as they embark on their vital work. Input is due on August 22, 2026.
