Columbia University is hosting their first Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) Symposium on Wednesday, September 30, 7am to 12:20pm PT. This free, virtual event for patients, caregivers, and health professionals. Registration ends earlier in the morning on September 30th.
The agenda looks great. Topics include:
- Overview of MSA diagnosis, subtypes, treatment, and progression
- Autonomic dysfunction, including bladder and bowel symptoms
- Mobility, home safety, and navigating daily life
- Research updates and future therapeutic directions
- Patient and care partner panels
- Caregiver burnout and self-care
For those in New York, there is an in-person option, described as a “watch party.”
We will try to attend some of the talks and panels, and share our notes.
