California stem cell agency “has funded just a trickle of clinical trials” (STAT)

Here’s a special report on CIRM, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, which is the state’s stem cell agency, from STAT (, a website that reports “from the frontiers of health and medicine.”  The bottom line for the author is that the state agency has funded a small number of clinical trials compared to the NIH.
